Mount Gambier Aero Club

The Mount Gambier Aero Club Inc. was originally formed in the 1930’s and continued through to the Second World War when the airport was taken over by the Royal Australian Air Force.

The present day aero club was established as the Mount Gambier Gliding and Soaring Club in July 1947 and continued under this name until 31 May 1957 when it was renamed the Mount Gambier Aero Club as it is today.

The Mount Gambier Aero Club currently has 29 members and is always looking for people interested in aviation (you don’t have to be a pilot!) to join their ranks and enjoy the get togethers, fly aways and weekend flying that makes the Mount Gambier Aero Club a great place to be.

Australian Air Force Cadets

The AAFC is a youth development organisation which trains cadets in a military type environment. We aim to develop leadership, confidence, teamwork, self-reliance and communication skills. Cadets participate in aviation and fieldcraft activities and have the opportunity to visit defence bases. The AAFC is administered and actively supported by the Royal Australian Air Force.
