In the modern day of air travel, security has become an important and necessary topic.

When travelling to/from Mount Gambier Airport you need to keep in mind:

All bladed implements such as scissors (all types and sizes) and knives (of any sort) or sharp pointed objects including letter openers and items of this nature are prohibited in hand luggage, as are all tools. These items should be packed in your check-in luggage for travel.

A full list of prohibited items is available under the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005. Please visit the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government website at www.infrastructure.gov.au for more information.

Any aerosols in carry-on baggage travelling on domestic flights must be secured with a cap or similar device.

A wide range of articles and substances such as pesticides, petrol, acids, aerosols and bleaches are considered dangerous goods. These items are not allowed on aircraft as they can  pose a significant risk to health and safety when transported by air. Further information on dangerous goods can be found at www.casa.gov.au.

We also ask that you do not leave your luggage unattended in the terminal at any time.
